appreciate: cocohodo
Koreans love sweet red bean, and the tastiest manifestation of it is as filling for walnut cookies. Walnut cookies, or hodo gwaja, put chocolate truffles to shame with superior texture, aroma, and form-following-functional design, not to mention health (er, probably). Cocohodo has several stores around Korea and whenever I pass by one, it's impossible to resist popping in for a 3k won bag (15 hodos). Not only are their hodos consistently delicious and generously nuggeted, but the customer always gets a toasty one straight from the oven while checking out. Perfect all year round, but especially on cold, grey, March afternoons.
